WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT STATE OF MIND?
Optimistic and thankful. The new year has a tendency to make you feel that way and 2013 is shaping up to be pretty great, the highlight of which will be my wedding in September.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR?
I’m find squirrels pretty frightening on the daily but overall I’d say that losing my independence is my greatest fear. The thought of becoming a burden for my family and friends terrifies me.
WHO ARE YOUR REAL-LIFE HEROES?
That’s easy, my mom. She’s pretty swell (understatement of the century).
WHAT DO YOU LOVE?
I love my Red Head, family, friends, traveling, biking, dirty rap music, antique shopping, a good book, attempting to decorate our home, hammocks, swimming, Oreos and baking.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED POSSESSION?
My engagement ring. If my house was on fire, though I’d definitely be sure to grab my lap top and photo albums as well.
WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT OBSESSIONS?
Anything gold, especially the Kate Spade Charm Heels. Elbow patches. All things wedding related (and the overwhelming desire to register already!).
WHAT IS THE QUALITY YOU MOST ADMIRE IN ANOTHER PERSON?
A sense of humor, honesty and loyalty. Those three qualities are in a tie at the top of my list.
WHAT IS IT YOU MOST DISLIKE?
I dislike people who feel the need to put you down. Any good friend, or person, will do their best to make you your best self. It’s hard to sum up in one word, but you know the type.
WHAT DO YOU VALUE MOST IN YOUR FRIENDS?
A candid sense of humor and imagination, thoughtfulness and loyalty.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE NAMES?
I have a strict “no telling names of your future children” philosophy but I think the name Kennedy is pretty.
WHO IS YOUR CELEBRITY CRUSH?
Male crush: Justin Timberlake, because I’m 13 years old.
Female crush: Meryl Streep. She’s blunt, hilarious, so classy and, as they say in Modern Family, she “could play Batman and be the right choice, she is perfection.”
WHAT’S YOUR DREAM CAR?
I know very little about the car world but I think I would look nice driving a black Range Rover. Plus, then I’d fit in with the Kardashian family, always a bonus (*sarcasm*).
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE COCKTAIL?
Vodka gimlet. Wine, any color. Or a cranberry vodka if I’m reliving my college days.
WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO OR FAVORITE QUOTES?
I love classic quotes but one recent quote that really resonated with me was Conan O’Brien’s final monologue. You all know it: “All I ask of you is one thing: please don’t be cynical. I hate cynicism — it’s my least favorite quality and it doesn’t lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you’re kind, amazing things will happen. ”
