Loving on a Friday

Hello friends! Happy Friday. The sun (gasp) is actually out today, so I’m running out the door to soak it up, but first some inspiring things. Have a great weekend!

On my never ending quest for the perfect signet ring (simple and classic, not too pricey), I came across this! Hark! This could be it.

A marble surfboard. Loving marble right now, and this would just be about the coolest conversation piece I could imagine, just propped up in your living room. No?

And speaking of cool, I am lov-ing this. Big time. Could I pull it off? Probably not. But dang. I love this. (Note to self: re-imagine as artwork for home office.)

Could I channel every 6 year-old girl, just for a moment, and say: I want a pony! (named Clementine, obviously).  To be clear: I have ridden a horse exactly twice. But I love them so. They seem god-like to me.  This photo is stunning. I want it in my life.

Not that I am wavering for a moment in my allegiance to all things Clare Vivier, in particular the monogrammed pieces. But. For a teacher, they can be a bit… dear. Enter this little beauty! Very Vivier-esque, and quite a bit kinder on the wallet.

I can’t stop looking at this. So simple, and yet… endlessly interesting. I want to hang it above my sofa.

BELIEVES: “A human being is part of the whole, called by us ‘Universe,’ a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation, and a foundation for inner security.” Albert Einstein “The important thing is not to think much but to love much and so do that which best stirs you to love.” St. Teresa of Avila “People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances without own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.” Joseph Campbell
